Over the past thirty years, each new year of experience has given us the boldness and confidence necessary to think outside the box and diversify the Group’s activities. Our History

From a one-man band to a philharmonic orchestra

In 2023, the Hyvec Group celebrates its 30th anniversary. Three decades of perseverance during which the Group constantly reinvented itself as the country developed and as new economic and social challenges presented themselves. At the time he launched his modest construction company in 1993, the founder and Group CEO, Mr. Nawaz Khan (Eshan) Chady, was far from imagining that he was laying the foundations to build an impressive and successful business that would rank in the Top 50 companies in Mauritius with a geographical presence in Africa and the Middle East.

Today, the Group is a solid and diversified group that is firmly based on 5 economic poles including Construction and Property Development, Retail and Distribution, Finance and Investment, Leisure and Hospitality, and Food. Each of these poles has at its head, an expert leader in the field, endowed with a great vision and ability to drive its team members towards congruent objectives to meet overall group goals.

Hyvec Group is trusted by world-reputed brands and franchises dealing with top-of-the-range brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein Jeans, Gant, Armani Exchange, Ralph Lauren, GAP, Mont Blanc, Fila, Kohler, Siematic, Saudi Arabian Airlines, and Burger King.

However, Construction and Property Development remains the core activity of Hyvec Group, which can boast of being among the largest real estate developers on the island with over one million square feet worth MUR 3 billion. In 2020, the |Group launched Investcorp (Holdings) Ltd- a property investment holding company with assets worth around MUR 2 billion, and its notes were successfully quoted on the Mauritius Stock Exchange in 2021.

Hyvec Group has expanded its geographical footprint and is now present in South Africa through its stores in major shopping malls. The Group holds the license for the FILA brand in fourteen African countries.
